Communication
Communication protocols are important for a smart battery pack. Electrifule's Battery Management is enabled with all advance and required communication protocols UART, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Controller Area Network (CAN). BMS is also enabled with the data logging option for monitoring its state, calculating secondary data, reporting that data.
Protections
A battery management system is essentially the “brain” of a battery pack, it measures and reports crucial information for the operation of the battery and protects the battery from damage in a wide range of operating conditions. Electrifuel's Battery Management System is Enabled with over/under Temperature protection, over/under voltage protection, Short Circuit protection, over-current in Charge protection, over-current in Discharge protection, Thermal management, Accurate State Of Charge (SOC) and State Of Health (SOH) algorithms for the safety of the battery.
Cell Balancing
Cell balancing is a technique in which voltage levels of every individual cell connected in series to form a battery pack is maintained to be equal to achieve the maximum efficiency and life of the battery pack. When different cells are combined to form a battery pack it is always made sure that they are of the same chemistry and voltage value. But once the pack is installed and subjected to charging and discharging the voltage values of the individual cells tend to vary due to some reasons. Electrifuel's BMS will help to balance your battery with passive cell balancing up to 1500 mA to improve the performance and life of battery pack.
Software Support
Software support is available for configuring and data monitoring like cell voltages, current, pack voltage, fault, temperatures, state of charge through UART and android application is available for monitoring and battery control. Battery Management System is easily configurable with software for different cell chemistries. Real-time graphs are available for data analysis.
